Asheville - Louise Osborn Stricklin passed away on December 16, 2013 at her home in Biltmore Forest, NC.
Louise was born October 30, 1942 in Hampton Iowa to Dr. Lowell A. Osborn and his wife Lucille Clemmer Osborn. Louise spent pre-school years in Denmark and Germany shortly after WWII where her father was stationed. From Europe, the family returned to Hampton where Louise attended the public schools, graduating from Hampton High School in 1960. She attended the University of Iowa
and graduated in 1965. She is a member of Chi Omega Sorority.
Louise moved to Tampa, Florida during her early working years. In 1975 she married Bobby Stricklin. The two worked together in the golf industry. She and Bobby were partners in their golf development/management company and they were owner operators of the Bloomingdale Golfers Club in Valrico, Florida.
Following the sale of their business in 1992, Louise and Bobby retired to Biltmore Forest, NC. Louise created a prize winning and enduring landscape for their home. She was an active member and a past president of the Mountain Laurel Garden Club.
Louise's gentle manner, joyful spirit, generous smile and laughter touched all around her.
Louise is survived by her husband Bobby Stricklin, his daughter Windy Leigh Tucker, her husband Ron and their children Emmaleigh and Tripp.
