Roger Kopac

Asheville - Roger Kopac of Asheville, passed on Sunday, April 28th 2013 after a courageous fight with urachal adenocarcinoma.

Born in Milwaukee, WI, April 30th, 1942, to Veronica and Stanley Kopac, Roger proudly served his country as a medic in the Army Special Forces in Vietnam. He loved to dance, spend time with friends, and work. Most of all, he loved his wife and family.

Roger is survived his wife Mary, his daughter Theresa (Chris Tuschen); his son Matthew (Sarah Cottingham); his grandson Evan; his brother John and sister Anne Marie; and many other loving family and friends.

The funeral service will be held at 2pm May 2nd 2013 at the VA Cemetery of Black Mountain. A reception will follow at Pack's Tavern in Asheville from 3:30-6pm. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Four Seasons Hospice (www.FourSeasonsCFL.org) or Strap In For Life (strapinforlife.org).
