Stokesdale, NC - Virgie Taylor, 93, of Stokesdale, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 8, 2013.
A native of Clarksville, TN, she was a daughter of the late Keltz and Eldora Stough Parker. She was an accomplished painter and seamstress, and enjoyed making hand crafted dolls. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Joseph William Taylor, and several siblings.
Surviving are her sons, Robert Taylor and wife, Phyllis, of Nebo, Joseph Taylor and wife, Shirley, of Cerulean, KY, David Taylor and wife, Amy, of Greer, SC; daughters, Linda Baker of Summerfield, Barbara Robinson and husband, Roy, of Hendersonville, Virginia Allred and husband, David, of Stuart, VA; sister, Beatrice Pace and husband, L.D. of Clarksville, TN; eight grandchildren; seven great grandchildren, and several wonderful great-great grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at 1 PM on Thursday, June 13, 2013 at Swannanoa First Baptist Church in Swannanoa with the family receiving friends an hour prior to the service. Rev. Dan Snyder will be officiating the service.
The family would like to extend their gratitude to the wonderful care that was provided to Mrs. Taylor during her illness by the staff at the Beacon Place.
