Guy Leekley

Asheville - Guy Leekley, age 74, of Asheville, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 4, 2015, at the John F. Keever, Jr. Solace Center.

Mr. Leekley was born November 6, 1940, in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He was a gifted teacher, accomplished poet and translator of the Tao Te Ching. He remained a dedicated student of the Tao. Guy was much loved and admired and embraced life with complete exuberance and joy. He was the son of the late Richard and Evelyn Kohanek Leekley.

Surviving are his beloved wife and partner, Donna Limperes; children, Lura Bickford (Daniel), Mark Leekley (Julie), and Garnell Limperes; grandchildren, Kevin, David, Lauren, Rachel, and Andrew; siblings, Brian Leekley (Kayle), Avon Leekley (Michael), and John Leekley (Rebekah).

His family will host a sharing of memories at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, September 8, 2015, in West Funeral Home, 17 Merrimon Ave., Weaverville.
