Asheville - Cleo Cooper Williams Ayers, 77, of 15 Happy Valley Road, went home to be with the Lord on Monday January 7, 2013 at Care Partners Solace Center after an extended illness.

A native of Buncombe County, she was a member of West Asheville Church of God. She was a daughter of the late Herbert and Pauline Cooper, and the wife of the late Billy C. Williams and Don Ayers. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Calvin "Tommy" Cooper. Surviving are her two sisters, Virginia Warren and the late Bill Warren of Rogersville, Tenn., and Linda Taylor of Asheville; one brother Clayton Cooper of Asheville; one daughter Judy Naomi and husband Kerry; and one son Chris Cooper and wife Shanna of Asheville; 5 grandchildren, Chad Angel and wife Ginger of Asheville, Stephanie Angel of Madison, Jessica Wade and husband Justin of Leicester, and Justin Cooper and Andy Cooper of Asheville; and 2 great-grandchildren, Chloe Alyssa Angel and Colton Allen Angel of Asheville, NC.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m Thursday in the Patton Ave. chapel of Groce Funeral Home, with Rev. Aaron Phillips officiating. Burial will be in Green Hills Cemetery.

The family will receive friends 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
