Frank W. Hoilman

Swannanoa - Frank W. Hoilman, 79, of Swannanoa, passed away Thursday, November 15, 2012.

Mr. Hoilman was born August 21, 1933 in Mitchell County, NC to the late Dock and Hannah Crowder Hoilman.

Frank was a hardworking man. He was a machinist/tool maker for over 50 years. Frank was a leather crafter for over 35 years, and proprietor of Franks Leather Craft located in Black Mountain. He was the Assistant Director and Caller of the Green Valley Cloggers. Frank was a veteran of the United States Army, serving during the Korean War with 27 years of active and retired military service. He was a Scout Master, baseball coach, and attended Calvary Free Will Baptist Church. Frank was a loving, caring, nurturing, and hardworking husband, father, grandfather, and brother.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his son, Neil Hoilman.

Frank is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Nell King Hoilman; sons, Dock Hoilman (Brenda) of Stafford, VA and Will Hoilman (Tina) of Old Fort, NC; sister, Dolores Clark; grandchildren, Samantha Reese, Christina Thomas, Josh Littrell, Jonathan Littrell, Kristen Ward, William Miller, and Betty Walkley; great grandchildren, Chris Curtis, Collin Curtis, Cassie Miller, Alissa Walkey, Caleb Walkey, Jacob Thomas, and Katelyn Reese; and great-great grandchild, Madelyn Curtis.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held Monday, November 19, 2012 at 6:30 PM at Calvary Free Will Baptist Church. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the church.

A Graveside Service will be held Tuesday, November 20, 2012 at 12:00 noon at Hughes Cemetery in Newland, NC.
