Asheville - Jack Franklin Greene, 91, of Asheville, NC, passed away peacefully on May 13, 2013. Born October 17, 1921, he was the son of Claude A. and Myrtle B. Green. He graduated from Leicester High School in 1940, when it was housed in the basement of the old Biltmore High School. After graduation and a brief period working in a mill, he enlisted in the US Navy.
