Janet Brigmon Ammons

Black Mountain - Janet Brigmon Ammons, 55, of Black Mountain went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, February 13, 2013 after a courageous battle with cancer.
Mrs. Ammons was born March 28, 1957 in Buncombe County where she lived all of her life. She loved life. Janet was a caring, compassionate person who loved animals, especially her dog, Annabelle whom she loved walking around the lake. She was employed with One Step Ahead Salon for many years where her clients loved her dearly as she went out of her way to help others.
Janet is preceded in death by her father, Ralph Brigmon.
She is survived by her loving husband, Ralph Ammons; mother, Jenny Lea Brigmon of Black Mountain; sisters, Carrie Lea Webb of Asheville, Judy Church and Diane Brigmon both of Black Mountain; brothers, David Brigmon of Weaverville and Jeff Brigmon of Alaska.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held Sunday, February 17, 2013 at 2:00 pm in the chapel of Harwood Home for Funerals.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to JFK Solace Center, 21 Belvedere Rd., Asheville, NC 28803 in memory of Janet.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to her aunt and uncle, Barbara and Boyd Holcombe of Leicester, whom were her best friends.
They would also like to thank the Drs. and staff of Mission Hospital, St. Joseph's Hospital and the John F. Keever Solace Center for their love, care, and support.
Arrangements are in the care of Harwood Home for Funerals.
