Judy Fross Cox

Arden - Judy Fross Cox, of Arden, passed away Friday, February 1, at Mission Hospital after a brave battle with cancer. She was the daughter of the late Lester and Thelma Fross of Monticello, Indiana. Judy was preceded in death by her sister Connie Cascales.
Judy grew up on a farm in White County, Indiana, and raised her children in Florida. She spent countless hours volunteering in her children's schools, and made an idyllic childhood home for them.
With a disposition like a sunny summer day, she was a warm, generous, caring, and loyal friend. Her optimism spread to all she touched.
While Judy traveled extensively, she loved the North Carolina Mountains more than any other place, and there she nurtured and cared for both wild animals and her feline companions. She was equally committed to caring for seniors, and was a long time volunteer and friend to residents at the Arbor Terrace in Arden. Judy played the piano and loved to cook with her granddaughters.
Survivors include her son, T.D. Cox, daughter, Tami Bebber, and son-in-law, Jackson Bebber of Arden, to whom she was a tireless giver, loving mother, and best friend.
Judy had a special touch with children, and every visit from Grandma Judy was as exciting as a holiday or a birthday. She was the best grandma in the world to Judy Lee, Sally Ann and Molly Grace Bebber of Arden, and to Shaye Lee and Shelby Lee Cox, and her great-grand child, Payton Marie Cohee, of Springhill, Florida.
Services will be private.
