I knew Ryan while we studied renewable energy at App State. He was so supportive and intelligent and caring. Gave me a lot of early support in my work in Biodiesel. I hadn't spoke to him in years, but am happy to hear that he lived such a full life and found love. My condolences to his family.

I met Ryan during the AYC yoga teacher training Fall, 2015. The one day's work he did with us was UHMAZING...I felt I had met a true master, from whom there was much to learn. I had sustained multiple injuries over a no. of years to one knee and in resuming a strong yoga practice in the previous years, I found this one knee not reacting too well to certain sustained asanas. I made ONE appt. with him, cuz I knew he was amazing, and in that one hour he poured this incredible energy, insight and clarity into my issue that has sustained me, helped me "heal" this knee and remains as clear to me as the day I worked with him. From that day onward, I have told many a person that a PT/Yogi is the very best healer and will help all of us sustain a quality of life light years beyond the traditional western modalities that slice and dice us with surgeries all over our bodies.
I say this to let you know what wonders he has done; I know that I am not alone. In following him via FB since that time I have come to know more about his powerful, yet short lived life here on this planet: WOW! So happy to have known him and have received from his gifts...so happy to know what an incredible being he is and how on so many planes he has affected so many in so many wondrous ways AND as a woman turning 65 soon, to know that in his relatively short lived life, he found true love and has this beautiful son, in whom his soul and light shines on, to continue his radiant journey. Cheers to you Ryan, Your wife and to your son and extended family--WELL DONE!!

I didn't know Ryan well, in fact my only time with him was part of a yoga training, but it was enough to realize he was a special person. I'm deeply saddened by this news. He clearly dedicated his life to helping others, adding to the energy and love that can be so hard to come by sometimes. I'll be sending thoughts and energy to Ryan's family.
