Swannanoa - Martin L. "ML" Wagoner, Jr., 87, of Swannanoa, went home to be with the Lord Monday, February 3, 2014, at the John F. Keever Solace Center following a brief illness.

ML was born on December 31, 1926 in Rowan County, NC to the late Martin and Settey Grant Wagoner. He was preceded in death by 4 brothers and 3 sisters; his wife, Lucille Wagoner in 1997; and his second wife, Ruth Wagoner in 2013.

ML served in the Army Air Force during World War II. Upon his discharge from military service, he married Lucille Worley Wagoner in 1950. Together they had two children, Diane and Kathy. He later retired from Precision Products. During this time, he was a faithful member at Grove Stone Baptist Church and served in many capacities. Lucille passed away in 1997. In 2000, he married Ruth Pressley Wagoner. ML and Ruth were members at Grassy Branch Baptist Church.

ML is survived by two children, Diane Ogle and her husband, Jim, and Kathy Wilson and her husband, Hank; four grandchildren, Jennifer Ogle; Jonathan Ogle and his wife, Amanda; Adam Wilson and his wife, Krystal; and Amanda Bizub and her husband, Mike; two great-grandchildren, Brooklyn and Zoe Bizub; Ruth's son Lane Pressley and his wife, Angela; many nieces and nephews; and lifelong friends Mike and Vicki McKinney.

A Celebration of Life Service will be at 7:00 p.m., Thursday, February 6, 2014 at Grove Stone Baptist Church with the Rev. James Lamb, Rev. Gayle Brown; and Rev. Ken Sausedo officiating.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m., Thursday preceding the service in the Fellowship Hall of Grove Stone Baptist Church.

Interment will be held privately by the family.
