Fletcher - John Calhoun Sterritt IV, 43, of Fletcher, North Carolina passed on Thursday, February 27, 2014.
John was born in Chicago, Illinois, a native of Traverse City, Michigan and was the son of John Calhoun Sterritt III of Asheville, NC and the late Barbara Aussem.
John moved to Asheville in 1996 after graduating from Western Michigan University with a degree in journalism. He went to work for the Hendersonville Times Newspaper as a sports writer and then decided to attend The Mercer University of Law as a result of his respect for his grandfather, John C. John loved living and working in Asheville and was greatly respected for his integrity, professionalism and compassion as an attorney. John was a member of several Law Organizations in Asheville and North Carolina.
John is survived by a loving family: a son, Cal and Cal's mother, Sara Findley, and soon to be born son in May and his mother, Olga Kovalsky. In addition, his father (John), step mother (Andrea), a sister he adored, Allison Sterritt of Portland, OR., a step-brother, Sean (Crystal) Flory and many loving friends and relatives.
