Black Mountain - Laura Blanche Bradley Kerlee, age 96, of Black Mountain, was called home Saturday, May 17, 2014 at Mountain Ridge Wellness Center. Blanche was born in Ridgecrest, NC on May 16, 1918 and was the daughter of the late Mike and Etta Bradley. She was a life-long member of Kerlee Baptist Church. She will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great-great grandmother.
Preceding her in death was her husband, Leander Kerlee; six sisters; and one granddaughter, Lisa Ann Kerlee.
She is survived by three children, Julia Kelly (Earl), Jerry Kerlee (Ora Lee) and Kenneth Kerlee (Judy); seven grandchildren, Rick Kerlee, Tammy Kerlee, Stanley Kerlee, Angie Kelly, Phillip Kelly, Charlie McCowan and Crystal Powell; 11 great grandchildren; six great-great grandchildren; and a sister, Pearl Rolland.
A private service will be held at a later date. The family would like to express their sincere appreciation for the loving and sensitive care provided by the staff of Mountain Ridge Wellness Center in Ridgecrest.
