BERNICE SPRINKLE

EDMONDS

MARSHALL - Bernice Sprinkle Edmonds, 99, of Marshall, passed away on Thursday, April 21, 2011.

Bernice was born July 23, 1911 in Madison County where she had lived all of her life. She was the oldest member of Madison Seminary Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Ernest Edmonds; son-in-law, Landon Davis; and her parents, McDonald and Ella Bailey Sprinkle.

Bernice is survived by her daughters, Katy H. Davis of Marshall and Patsy Anne Payne and husband, Edd, of Maryland; son, Max Edmonds and wife, Wanda, of Mars Hill; seven grandchildren, Walda McDevitt, Ricky Harell, Lisa Cody, Debra Sue Akers, Eddie Dean Payne, Rebecca Ruth Roland and David Earl Edmonds.; nine great grandchildren and six great great grandchildren.

Funeral service will be held at 12 noon Saturday in the Chapel of Madison Funeral Home with the Reverends Joe Tomberlin and Charlie Stanton officiating.

Interment will follow in Madison Seminary Cemetery.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Gideons International, Madison County Camp, P.O. Box 1182, Marshall, NC 28753.
