Lillian was preceded in death by her husband of fifty-two years, Harry Allen Stover III, who died in 1996.

Lillian Stover is survived by four adoring children, Chester Allen Stover Sr. and wife, Lou Ann, of Asheville, James Monroe Stover and wife, Sue Ellen, of Asheville, Patricia Stover Harper and husband, Michael, of Dawson AL, Sue Stover Gaither and husband, Gary, of Cuenca, Ecuador; 13 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild; a brother, Ralph C. Pruitt and wife, Perida, of Summerville, SC; and numerous extended family members and special friends, among them Carol and Stan Zulker of Collinsville, AL, Mary Katherine Harris of Fort Payne, AL, and the loving staff and caregivers at Crowne Healthcare, also in Fort Payne.

Mrs. Stover, a communing member of Grace Presbyterian Church, Fort Payne AL, was known for her lifelong faithfulness to God, an abiding grace that remained until her final earthly breath, her wonderful sense of humor that also remained intact, even in physical suffering, and the steadfast quiet dignity found in Proverbs 31.

An accomplished musician, for many years Lillian served various churches in North Carolina, and in New Jersey (where she lived from 1952-1963) as pianist or organist. Lillian was admired for the lovely soprano voice God gifted her with, one which she shared so freely glorifying the Savior she loved.

Lillian Stover, lady of ladies. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Till we meet again at the feet of Jesus!
