Katherine Davis

Candler - Katherine Eloise Davis, 86, of Candler, passed away Monday, October 14, 2013 at the St. Joseph Campus of Mission Hospitals.

A lifelong resident of Buncombe County, Ms. Davis worked for a time as a clerk in her father's general store. She was a former member of Pisgah United Methodist Church, an avid flower gardener, and was well-known in the Candler area for her Dahlias.

Ms. Davis was the daughter of the late Don and Mary Ray Davis, and was also preceded in death by her sisters: Hazel Wright, Mae Davis, Ruth McElreath, and Lucille Davis; and her brothers: Perry, Ray and Ted Davis.

Surviving are her brother, Charles Davis of Candler; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Friday in the chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home, with the Rev. Austin Watts officiating. Burial will follow in Pisgah UMC Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 - 2:00 PM Friday at the funeral home.

My condolences to the family. God promise that he will put an end to all suffering including death (Revelatin 21:4). God also tells us that we can have a chance to see our loved ones again. I hope this gives you some comfort.
