Ruth Feaster Obituary
Brevard - Ruth H. Feaster, 92, of Brevard, NC, died November 26, 2013, in Wyomissing, Pennsylvania, where she had resided since May, 2012. Her husband, Marshall M. Feaster, Jr. died on October 24, 1993. Born in Barnard, NC, she was the daughter of the late Daniel T. and Lela (Phipps) Haynie.
She grew up in Asheville and graduated from Western Carolina University in 1942. During her career she worked at Ecusta Corporation, Brevard-Davidson River Presbyterian Church, and at Brevard Federal Savings and Loan. During retirement she lived at Lake Toxaway, NC, where she enjoyed boating with her friends and family.
She is survived by two sons, Marshall M. Feaster, III, M.D., and his wife, Jane, of Wyomissing, Pa; and Samuel H. Feaster, M.D., and his wife, Christy, of Knoxville, Tn., six grandchildren, and one great-granddaughter. Ruth was predeceased by three sisters.
A memorial service will be held at Brevard-Davidson River Presbyterian Church at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, December 3, 2013
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Ruth's name to Brevard-Davidson River Presbyterian Church or to the Lake Toxaway United Methodist Church. .

Dear Dr. and Mrs. Feaster,
I was saddened to hear of the loss of Dr. Feaster's mother. He always spoke very highly of her and you could tell that there was a tremendous amount of love between the two of them. If there is any truth that you can judge a parent by the actions of their offspring, then she must been one hell of a mother. Carla also would like to express her deepest sympathies. Our hearts and prayers will be with you both.

Dear Marshall and Jane, we are so sorry for your loss. I remember meeting Ruth many years ago. Even in her early eightys , she demonstrated a sharp wit and wonderful southern grace. You are in our prayers. Anne and John
