Cris was my Field Training Officer at the Hickory Police Department in 1980, what a great guy! He taught me to respect others and to treat people as you would want them to treat your mother, father, sister or brother. I will always remember his example and his smile! Thank You Cris.....you made a difference in my life! Hank Guess

Teresa,Chesley, and family. May God bless and provide comfort to each of you during this time. Cris was a wonderful person to be associated with during my time with the Norfolk Southern Police Dept. He was always a person of integrity, trustworthy and kept a positive attitude of life. Although he will be missed by many here on earth, I'm sure he will be welcomed with open arms in Heaven.

Cris was my cousin, and I will regret for the rest of my life that, because of distance and the busy-ness of life, we had lost touch. He was a good man who loved his family with all his heart and soul. My deepest sympathy to all of you.

I had the honor of calling him my Uncle. He was such a sweet person and caring! When my Dad was in Baptist hospital last year , Uncle Cris came and just his presence calmed me... just sitting beside me... we didn't have to talk ... I just knew he was there and it was going to be alright! I will miss his calls checking in on us... I wish my son could have got to know him little more. I will always cherish my memories of him. Always buckle up was the first thing he said as we started to travel I was young and I always remember that to this day when I get in my car... he will be really missed... praying for his whole family!!! Love and prayers... April & John Grady
