Harry Scruggs Obituary
Scruggs, Jr.
Candler - Harry Lee Scruggs, Jr., 74, went to be with the Lord Friday, October 9, 2015, at the Charles George VA Medical Center.
A native of Waynesville, Mr. Scruggs was a son of the late Harry Lee Scruggs, Sr. and Clara Belle Gaddis Scruggs. He was an Army veteran and was retired from Dave Steel. He was a member of Pole Creek Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara Jo Pressley Scruggs; daughter, Taletha Clark and her husband Bryan; son Jonathan Lee Scruggs; grandchildren, Bailey, Madison and McKenna Scruggs; children by marriage, Barry Stillwell and his wife Missy and Brett Stillwell; granddaughter by marriage, Mikayla Stillwell; sisters, Marie Campbell and husband Bill, JoAnne Young, Edna Shook and husband, Hoyt, and Joyce Riddle and husband, Reagan; and brothers, David Scruggs and wife Louise and Don Scruggs and wife Myra.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Monday at Pole Creek Baptist Church with the Revs. Dennis Thurman, David Scruggs and Jimmy Dykes officiating. Interment with military honors will follow at Pisgah View Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Sunday at Groce Funeral Home on Patton Avenue.
