HATTIESBURG, Miss. - Donna J. Bourque, 59, of Hattiesburg, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, Jan. 6, 2010, She died peacefully of cancer at her home with family by her side.

Donna was born on Sept. 2, 1950, in Hanover, N.H., the daughter of Ruth (Bagley) Pollard of Lebanon, N.H., and the late Marshall "Shorty" Pollard.

She graduated from Lebanon High School in 1968.

She was employed at the National Bank of Lebanon for many years during which time she lived in Enfield, N.H.

Donna met and married her soulmate Gary Patrick Bourque, and they moved to Laconia, N.H., before moving to Mississippi. While living in the Laconia area, Donna worked for Granite State Glass and Stafford Oil. She and Gary faithfully attended First Baptist Church of Belmont, N.H., where she served as treasurer and sang in the choir.

One of her greatest joys in life was spending time with her grandchildren.

Donna and Gary moved to Mississippi in April 2009 to be near her son, daughter-in-law, and their two grandchildren.

Donna brightened any gathering, and she will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

Donna is survived by her husband of 21 years, Gary Patrick Bourque; her mother, Ruth Pollard; a son, Timothy J. Barden of Stringer, Miss., and his wife Ronda; and two grandchildren, Elizabeth and Andrew; a stepson, Christopher D. Bourque and girlfriend Jennifer Swain, and granddaughter Ivy of Belmont, N.H.; a stepson, Casey Jo Bourque of Winnisquam, N.H.; five sisters, Patricia Rosendahl of Meriden, N.H., Beverly Brigham-Hunt of White River Junction, Vt., Loretta Morgan and her husband Robert of Port St. Lucie, Fla., Cheryl Stone and husband David of Enfield, N.H., and Doloris Pollard of Largo, Fla.; one brother, Francis Lebrun of Lebanon and his fiancee Lynne Anderson; many nieces, nephews and cousins.

A celebration of Donna's life was held Saturday, Jan. 9, 2010, in Hattiesburg. A memorial service will be held in Belmont, N.H., in May.
