FRANKLIN - Edward J. Bozek, 68, a lifelong resident of Franklin died Saturday, Jan. 15, 2011, following a sudden illness.

Ed was born in Franklin, Aug. 16, 1942, son of the late Edward and Stella (Horzempa) Bozek.
Ed graduated from Franklin High School, Class of 1960. He excelled in sports while in High School and served as class president. He went on to take classes at the University of New Hampshire in Durham.
He worked as a lineman with Public Service of New Hampshire for more than 29 years before his retirement at the age of 55. He then enjoyed working with his landscaping business and enjoyed a hobby finding collectibles and memorabilia. He had a keen eye and sought out antiques to buy and sell. Ed enjoyed traveling.
He was a life member of the Franklin Lodge of Elks, BPOE, 1280, and served for several years as exalted ruler.
His family includes two sons, Francis E. Bozek and his wife Lisa of Nashua, and Craig J. Bozek of Laconia; grandchildren, Brian, Garett and Alex Bozek; a brother, Stanley J. Bozek of Franklin; his stepfather, Bertrand D. Deshaies of Franklin; nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be Saturday, Jan. 22, 2011, from 1 to 4 p.m. at the William F. Smart Sr. Memorial Home, Franklin-Tilton Road in Tilton. Elks services will be held at 1 p.m. A graveside service will be held for Ed at Holy Cross Cemetery in the spring.
