Memories and Condolences
for William Cheskiewicz

Not sure what to say?

My Dear Billy,
My heart has a hole, it's sad and broken, the tears stream down my face so free.
I can't help but think of you Bill, and cannot believe this was to be.
Denial for me took the place of reality. Some prayed to God to just take you. Your suffering seemed cruel and like torture. Now you're gone, I'm relieved but feel blue.
I never really knew or saw much of you Bill. Our lives sadly did not seem much to meet. Though you were very special to me indeed. That terrible disease I was hopeful you could beat.
My memories of you forever will be cherished. As those wonderful ones of Mom and Dad. Bill, you will always live on in my head and in my heart. The best big brother I could ever have.
The pain of your loss still tears me apart. I try to put on a brave face and stay strong. Those who know me best see my sorrow. All that happened to you was unfair and wrong.
Our country you served and took your brother's place. News of this I found out about recently. You're truly a gift from God, Billy. Now He wants you to Himself completely.
My sadness remains deep- how can I heal. Yet we all kind of knew time came for you to leave. They say time heals all wounds- I hope this is true. My trust is in Heaven and God is what I'll believe.
Goodbye my dear brother. Until we meet up again and our soul will soar. With Mom and Dad and God you are now. looks like Heaven needed you there more.

Godspeed my Brother
With Love, Marilee

I was so sad to read of Bill's passing. I went to school with him, class of FFHS 1966. He will always be remembered for football but I will always remember him for his kindness, his true caring of others and most of all the respect he showed everyone. He was a wonderful young man from a wonderful family.

-To My Brother Bill

My earlier memories of you were trying to hide.
You threw my dolls in the river. I cried and cried.
Wearing white jeans all through high school-who would have guessed
On the fields playing football you were among the best.
Then you served our country and went to war. A very proud Marine, who could have asked for more.
I remember mom's face when finally getting a letter saying you were still alive-today feeling a little better.
After your tour was over mom could finally sleep. Emotions running high I watched her weep.
You eventually married, a great husband and dad.
Your children are beautiful, with grandchildren now that always made you smile.
You never asked for much and always were there for all of us, you would always come through-never a fuss.
Traveling was your plan when you could finally retire, but your need for good health would then become dire.
Life is not fair and I watched your health go downhill, and now you are gone- must have been God's will.
You were a very good brother for the most part- fun loving, kind, with such a good heart.
We are all so filled with grief our hearts could burst, but come on, we always knew mom would call you first.
Never heard you complain yet we knew how sick you were.
I choose to always remember you as you lived before. As a brother to me you were one of the best.
After all you have suffered- rest Billy rest.
Your Loving Sister-Chris

I will always remember waking up and noticing I'm not in my bedroom but, in what is in my mind, a cage. Looking to my right there sits Dad, with a surprised look on his face, wiping a tear away he asks do you need anything, to which I respond PIZZA! He laughs and says I don't think they will let you have that. How calm he made me feel in such a scary situation as a child.

I will always remember you meeting Lynzie for first time, the joy in your face! The day you walked me down the isle. Your visits out of nowhere.

You will always be missed but will always be in my heart forever.
