Louis C. O'Brien, 89, of Plains Township passed away Tuesday morning, March 26, 2013, in Wilkes-Barre General Hospital.
Louis was born March 22, 1924, the son of the late Eugene L. and Estar Lamade O'Brien in Williamsport.
Louis attended schools in Camden, N.J., and was a graduate of the University of Notre Dame.
He served in the U.S. Navy as a commissioned officer (lieutenant junior grade) during World War II.
He was employed as a sales engineer in the electrical distribution business by General Electric and Anesco before retiring in 1989.
Louis was preceded in death by his son, Timothy Patrick, and his sisters, Phyllis Ayers and Betty Bragg.
Surviving are his wife, the former Lieselotte Werle, Plains Township; daughters, Sharon O'Brien, Long Island, N.Y.; and Debra Bonebrake, Waynesboro, Md.; his son, Louis C. O'Brien Jr., Harrisburg; grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Louis requested that there be no fuss over his departure and that his funeral services be private among his family members with interment in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville.
Arrangements are by Corcoran Funeral Home Inc., 20 S. Main St., Plains Township.
