Dean R. Hack Sr., 73, a resident of Hunlock Creek, passed away at his home Thursday, Oct. 17, 2013.
He was born June 15, 1940, in Berwick, a son of the late Clarence R. and Martha Petty Hack.
He was a member of Oakdale United Methodist Church, Hunlock Creek.
Dean owned and operted Hack's Dairy Farm in Berwick until 1980. He also was employed for many years by McCarroll Precast Concrete, Lehman Township.
Surviving are his wife, the former Joy Mosteller; daughter, Beth Ann Patterson and husband, Matthew, Sweet Valley; son, Dean R. Hack Jr. and wife, Robyn, Huntington Mills; grandchildren, Courtney Marie Jones and husband, Joshua, Shickshinny; Peyten Leigh Hack, Huntington Mills; and Chase Hunter Patterson, Sweet Valley; great-granddaughter, Joslyn Jones, Shickshinny; and brother, Carl Hack, California.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Mattie Jane Kitchen, and brothers, Frederick (Ted) Hack and Albert Hack.
Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday in Oakdale United Methodist Church, Hunlock Creek, with the Rev. Gail Kitchen, pastor, officiating. Visitation at the church will be from 10 a.m. until the time of service.
