On Saturday, Nov. 3, 2012, Eldridge (Mike) Wright went home to be with his lord.
Born April 21, 1941, in Kingston, he was a graduate of Tunkhannock High School and was a veteran of the U.S. Navy.
Prior to his retirement, he was employed by Ingersoll-Rand.
He was a member of Bentley Creek Baptist Church and Rural Amity Lodge No. 70.
He enjoyed volunteering for Meals on Wheels and AARP doing taxes, his many walks with his loving dog, Huckleberry, and hunting.
He was predeceased by his parents, Arnold and Marie Wright; father and mother-in-law, Leland and Verona Wright; son, David Leland Wright; and grandson, Brock David Wright.
He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Lois Day Wright. He was a devoted father to his boys, Thomas Wright, Robert Wright and Steven Wright. He is also survived by several brothers and a sister, aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. He has eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held at 1 p.m. Friday in Nulton-Kopcza Funeral Home, 5749 state Route 309 (Beaumont), Monroe Township, with the Rev. James Ellis of Bentley Creek Baptist Church officiating. Interment will be in Perrins Marsh Cemetery, Center Moreland. Friends may call from 11 a.m. until the time of service Friday.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Bentley Creek Baptist Church, 13545 Berwick Turnpike, Gillette, PA 16925; the American Heart Association, 613 Baltimore Drive, Suite 3, Wilkes-Barre, PA 18702; or a charity of the donor's choice.

Lois, I was saddened to hear of your loss of Mike. It is difficult to hear of friends from Center Moreland and Vernon who we knew as children leaving us. Mike's older brother was a good friend of my brother Ed. May you find peace in your children and grandchildren.
