Obituaries from the Past Three Days

Ardoline, Margaret Mary - Pittston
Margaret Mary Ardoline, Attorney at Law, 55, of Pittston died Tuesday, Nov. 18, after a too-lengthy illness. Since she wanted the last word, she is writing this herself. She lucked out when she was born the child of the late Butch and Ann Durkin Ardoline and granddaughter of Joseph Ardoline. There will be no viewing at her request because she did not want anyone looking in the coffin and truthfully saying she never looked better (especially since PJ always does marvelous work). However, receive the grace of the sacrament and come to the Memorial Mass scheduled for Monday at 9:30 a.m. in the Chapel of the Oblates Seminary, Highway 315, Pittston. The deceased was also preceded in death by her grandparents, Joseph and Margaret Ardoline and Charles and Ann Durkin; brother, Fred Senese; and numerous beloved aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. She is survived by siblings, Ann Marie Senese, Joan (Gerard) Hanlon; Joseph (Diane) Ardoline; and Patricia (Joseph) Pellici; best friends Taryn (not only her best friend but THE best friend) and Leo Clement; uncles and aunts, Robert and Arlene Ardoline; Louise Ardoline; Jimmy Ardoline; Raymond and Natalie Ardoline; Louise Durkin and Mary Durkin Melvin; and too numerous to list by name loved nieces, nephews, godchildren, cousins, friends and neighbors. The deceased wishes to thank all the King's men who kept Humpty Dumpty together despite the odds: Mark Schiowitz, MD; Michael Rogan, M.D.; Samuel Falcone, DMD; Fino's Pharmacy owners and staff including Kenny who wore a path between the store and her residence even during wintry mixes. She is also very grateful to those supplying the glue: the Rev. Thomas Major; the Rev. Paul O'Donnell; the Rev. Richard Polmounter; Monsignor John Bendik. She is thankful for all those who contributed to her life rather than an existence: her generous family and employer Anthony J. Lumbus (work was never work); co-workers especially Diane Kazaskus and friends Francis Zekoski; and Eileen and Joseph Durkin. She apologizes to those she drove crazy particularly her next door neighbor who was more than an angel. Do not let a child (or anyone else) go to bed with an empty belly. Make donations to the Greater Pittston Care and Concern Food Pantry, 35 William Street, Pittston. She will continue to pray for each of you. Arrangements are entrusted to the Peter J. Adonizio Funeral Home, 251 William Street, Pittston. On-line condolences may be made at www.peterjadoniziofuneralhome.com .
