Dehaut, Theresa - Dallas  
Theresa Dehaut, 86, formerly of Wilkes-Barre, passed away Saturday, Dec. 20, 2014, in Wilkes-Barre General Hospital. She resided at The Meadows Manor personal care home in Dallas for the last two and a half years. Born in Wilkes-Barre on March 28, 1928, she was the daughter of the late John and Catherine Blaum Grigatis. She was a member of St. Andrew Parish, Wilkes-Barre. She loved everything having to do with music. She loved to sing and dance. Mostly, she loved spending her time with her family and friends. She enjoyed cooking and preparing for family dinners and was excited when she went out with her family to get her favorite dessert, ice cream. She was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Francis W. Dehaut; granddaughters, Diane View and Lucinda View; and her sister, Marie. Surviving are her daughters, Theresa Swartwood and husband, Donald, Kingston; Diane Giampietro and husband, John, Ashley; sons, David Dehaut and wife, Janice, Wilkes-Barre Township; Francis Dehaut and wife, LuAnn, Wilkes-Barre; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; sister, Catherine Herron; brother, John Craig and wife, Jeanie, Oklahoma; numerous nieces and nephews. a blessing service will be held at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday from George A. Strish Inc. Funeral Home, 105 N. Main St., Ashley. Interment will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Hanover Township. Family and friends may call from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Tuesday.

Delaney, Sophia - Exeter  
Sophia Delaney, 96, of Exeter passed away at home Tuesday, Dec. 16, 2014. She was born in Exeter on May 7, 1918. Prior to retirement, she was employed as a machine operator in the cigar industry. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald Delaney. She is survived by her nieces, Gina Raymond, Vero Beach, Fla.; Bernice Shore, Philadelphia; and Ann Christopher, Phoenix, Ariz. The funeral will be held on Monday. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. in St. Barbara's Parish, Exeter. Visitation for family and friends will be at the church from 8:30 a.m. until time of service. Interment will be in St. John the Baptist Cemetery, Cedar Street, Exeter. Arrangements are by Kizis-Lokuta Funeral Home, 134 Church St., Pittston.

Doyle, Paul M. - Ashley  
Paul M. Doyle, 93, of Ashley passed away Monday, Dec. 15, 2014, in the Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center, Plains Township. He was born in Pittston on May 19, 1921, a son of the late Leo and Helen Hession Doyle. Paul was a graduate of Pittston High School, Class of 1940. He served with the Army Air Force during World War II in the Pacific Theater. Paul was employed for many years as a tower operator by the Lehigh Valley Railroad and later by Conrail, prior to his retirement. Paul was a member of St. Nicholas Church, South Washington Street, Wilkes-Barre. He was also a member of the St. Conrad's Young Men's Society, Wilkes-Barre, and Plains American Legion Post 558 and he was a former member of the Duryea Veterans of Foreign Wars post. He was preceded in death by his brothers, John, Gerard and William Doyle. Paul is survived by his wife, Charlotte W. Sliker Doyle; his sister, Jane Wolf, Providence, R.I.; and his nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Funeral services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Thursday from Nat & Gawlas Funeral Home, 89 Park Ave., Wilkes-Barre, with a Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 10 a.m. in St. Nicholas Church, 226 S. Washington St., Wilkes-Barre. Interment will be in Maple Hill Cemetery, Hanover Township. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the St. Nicholas Church Renovation Fund, 226 S. Washington St., Wilkes-Barre, PA 18702.
