Anselmi, Richard B. - Exeter  
Richard B. Anselmi, 64, of Exeter, passed away Friday morning, Sept. 23, 2016, in Wilkes-Barre General Hospital. Richard was born April 26, 1952, the son of the late Ettore and Betty Vanyo Anselmi. He was a 1970 graduate of Wyoming Area High School, continued his education in Luzerne County Community College and graduated from Wilkes University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in history and secondary education. Richard had worked for Marvel Kitchens in Wyoming, Suburban Publishers and Keystone Automotive, retiring in 2005. He was an active member of the Exeter Lions Club, serving as second vice president, and was the representative for the Upper Valley Eye Bank, for which he faithfully collected used eye glasses each month. He was a member of the Cosmopolitan Club, Exeter, and enjoyed going to the Dallas Active Adult Center. Richard was a deeply religious person, frequently attending daily Masses and novenas. He was an altar boy for St. Anthony of Padua Church, a lecturer, a longtime member of the Holy Name Society and regularly participated in Sunday afternoon adoration at St. Barbara Parish. He was also a third-degree member of Knights of Columbus Council 372, Pittston. He had a good sense of humor and was very generous, giving to others without much concern for himself. He will be sorely missed by his brother, Ettore, many cousins, family and friends. He is at rest now with the Lord after serving well on this earth. Relatives and friends are invited to visitation from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Gubbiotti Funeral Home, 1030 Wyoming Ave., Exeter. Funeral services will be at 9 a.m. Monday from the funeral home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. in St. Barbara Parish in St. Anthony of Padua Church, Exeter. The Rev. Michael Finn will be the celebrant. Interment will be in St. Cecilia's Cemetery, Schooley Street, Exeter. Anselmi, Sara R. - Exeter  
Sara R. Anselmi of Exeter passed away Monday, Sept. 19, 2016, in Wilkes-Barre General Hospital. Born in Exeter, she was the daughter of the late Anthony and Albina Ziller Brunelli. She was a graduate of Exeter High School and a member of St. Barbara Parish at St. Anthony of Padua Church, Exeter. She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond, in 1997; brothers, John, Emilio and Joseph Brunelli; and a sister, Marie Imbriaco. Surviving are her children, Carol (Joseph) Lovrinic, Arcadia, Fla.; and Raymond (Jackie) Anselmi and Jeffrey Anselmi, Exeter; a sister, Mrs. Regina Grabowski, Exeter; five grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. Relatives and friends are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. Thursday in St. Barbara Parish in St. Anthony of Padua Church, 28 Memorial Ave., Exeter. The Rev. Michael Finn, pastor, will be the celebrant. Entombment will be in Mount Olivet Mausoleum, Carverton. There will be no public calling hours. Augustine, Janet Marie - Jenkins Township  
Janet Marie Augustine, 83, of Brooks Estates, Wesley Village, Jenkins Township, formerly of Nanticoke, passed away peacefully Thursday, Sept. 22, 2016, in Wilkes-Barre General Hospital. Born in Hanover Township, she was the daughter of the late James and Mary Jakes. Janet was employed by Luzerne County for 30 years at the Recorder of Deeds office and later as the director of the Tax Claim office. Janet was a member of the Wyoming United Methodist Church and also a member of the Irem Women's Club. She loved her family dearly, especially her children and grandchildren. Janet had a kind word for everyone she met and loved flowers, cooking and baking. She was preceded in death by her sister, Joyce Muntz Baker. She is survived by her loving husband, Emil, and they celebrated 61 years of marriage; and sons, Keith Augustine and Debbie, and grandchildren, Kelsey and Kara Augustine; and Kevin and his wife, Paulette, and grandchildren, Kristin and Kaylin Augustine. Also surviving are her sister, Ann Guzenski and her husband, James, along with her nephews. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday from Williams-Hagen Funeral Home Inc., 114 W. Main St., Plymouth, with the Rev. Harriet Santos and the Rev. James Wert officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday. Interment will be in Oak Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Wyoming United Methodist Church, 376 Wyoming Ave., Wyoming, PA 18644.
