Reese, William Albert - Plymouth  
William Albert Reese, 62, of Plymouth died Monday, April 27, 2015, at his home. He was born in Wilkes-Barre, son of the late Daniel and Mary Challis Reese. He was a graduate of Wyoming Valley West High School in 1970, King's College in 1974, and the New England Institute of Mortuary Science. Bill was employed by Kaman Bearing in Pittston from 1978 until 1983, when he became the owner and operator of the William A. Reese Funeral Chapel in Plymouth. Mr. Reese was a member of the Plymouth Kiwanis Club for more than 25 years, having served as treasurer and chairman of their Halloween parade every year. He was a member of the former Plymouth Masonic Lodge 332, serving as worshipful master in 1991. Bill also held membership in the Pennsylvania Funeral Directors' Association, and currently sat on the Board of the Luzerne County Funeral Directors' Association. He was committee chairman of Cub Scouts Pack 456 and Boy Scouts Troop 456, Plymouth, for many years. He was also a moderator for the Carolina Skiff Owners' Blog, and a longtime member of the Shawnee Mixed Bowling League. He was a member of the First Welsh Baptist Church in Plymouth, where he was a trustee and head of the deacon board, and served as treasurer and custodian of the church for many years. Besides his parents, Bill was preceded in death by his brother, Daniel Reese, in 2008. He is survived by his wife, the former Jan Castner; sons, Jeremy and his wife, Meghan Reese, Houston, Texas; Adam and his wife, Terry Reese, Severn, Md.; and Noah Reese, Katy, Texas; granddaughter, Madeline Elizabeth Reese; his favorite nephew, Kyle Castner, Wilkes-Barre; father-in-law, Wesley Castner, Plymouth; brother-in-law, Daniel Castner; niece, Jennifer Podsadlik, Kingston; and several cousins. The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Friday from William A. Reese Funeral Chapel, Rear 56 Gaylord Ave., Plymouth, with his pastor, the Rev. Anita J. Ambrose and the Rev. Edward Gospodinsky officiating. Interment will be in Oak Lawn Cemetery, Hanover Township. Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday. Memorial contributions may be made to the Medical Oncology Associates Prescription Assistance Fund, 382 Pierce St., Kingston, PA 18704, or to Hospice of the Sacred Heart, 600 Baltimore Drive, Wilkes-Barre, PA 18702. The Luzerne County Funeral Directors' Association will meet at 6 p.m., and a Masonic service will be held at 6:45 p.m. Thursday.

Remsky, Theresa Yenalevitch (Terry)  
Theresa (Terry) Yenalevitch Remsky, formerly of Kingston, passed away peacefully in her sleep Saturday, April 25, 2015. Born in Luzerne on April 23, 1960, she was the daughter of Joseph and Shirley Wood Yenalevitch. Terry was a graduate of Wyoming Valley West High School. She was a member of the former Holy Trinity Church, Swoyersville, and loved to sing in the choir. In addition to her family, Terry was a devout animal lover, her pets or kids as she called them were the center of her being. Terry was preceded in death by her daughter and love of her life, Amy Patrice. Surviving, in addition to her parents, are her sister, JoAnn Sharpe and her fiancé, Carl Hodorowski, Courtdale; brother, Joseph Yenalevitch Jr. and his fiancé, Mercedes Zambudio, New York; as well as a niece, Kari Sharpe-Schwarz and her family; and her ex-husband and good friend, Dave Remsky. A celebration of Terry's life will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at Lehman-Gregory Funeral Home Inc., 281 Chapel St., Swoyersville. Family and friends are welcome to pay their respects and interment will immediately follow in Holy Trinity Cemetery in Swoyersville. Memorial contributions may be made in Terry's name to the SPCA of Luzerne County, as that is what she would have wanted.

Ritsick, Barbara Lillian - Wilkes-Barre  
Barbara Lillian Ritsick, 77, of the Parsons section of Wilkes-Barre, died Friday, May 1, 2015. Born in Plymouth, she was a daughter of the late Edward and Lillian Allen Peters. She graduated from Plymouth High School, Class of 1955. Prior to her retirement, she was employed as a school crossing guard for 27 years by the Wilkes-Barre Area School District. She previously worked at American Tobacco Co. in Mountain Top for 26 years. She was an active member of St. Andre Bessette Parish, Wilkes-Barre. Barbara was one of 17 children. God, love and family were central in Barbara's life. She was a welcomed fixture at her family's school and sports activities. She demonstrated by her deeds that she was always eager to help anyone in need. Preceding her in death were her sisters, Marilyn Peters, Hazel Brock, June Gracey, Ruth Treef, Sharon Rayeski, and brothers, Edward Peters, Robert Peters, Ronald Peters and George Peters. Surviving are her loving husband of 58 years, Ted Ritsick Sr.; children, Linda Hickernell and her husband, Larry; Ted Ritsick Jr. and his wife, Jane; grandchildren, Larry Hickernell Jr. and his wife, Jennifer; Andrew Hickernell, Jerrod Handy, Ted Ritsick and Rebecca Ritsick; great-granddaughter, Sara Hickernell; sisters, Lois Karp, Greta Doria and her husband, Thomas; Janice Lane and her husband, Roger; and Phyllis Zalewski; brothers, Samuel Peters and his wife, Irmgard; Richard Peters and his wife, Gayle; and Clyde Peters; and numerous beloved nieces and nephews. The funeral will be held at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday from E. Blake Collins Funeral Home, 159 George Ave., Wilkes-Barre with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Stanislaus Kostka Church, 672 N. Main St., Wilkes-Barre. The interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, 1594 S. Main St., Hanover Township. Friends may call Monday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Ritsick Jr., Gerald - Plains Township  
Gerald Ritsick Jr., 56, of Plains Township passed away Monday morning, April 27, 2015, at his home. Born in Plains Township, he was the son of Gerald J. and Bernadine Craig Ritsick of Plains Township. Gerald was a graduate of James M. Coughlin High School, Wilkes-Barre, Class of 1976, and was employed by the family business, G. Ritsick & Sons, Plains Township. Surviving, in addition to his parents, Gerald and Bernadine, are his brothers, Jeffrey Ritsick, Mark Ritsick and his wife, Allison, all of Plains Township; and Christopher Ritsick, Bear Creek; and several cousins. Roccograndi Sr., Daniel M. - Pittston Township  
Daniel M. Roccograndi Sr., 77, of Sunset Drive, Pittston Township, died Wednesday, April 29, 2015, at his home. Born in Larksville, he was the son of the late Thomas Roccograndi Sr. and Anna Bobeck Roccograndi. He gradauted from St. Mary's High School and served in the U.S. Navy. Daniel resided in Pittston Township for the past six years. Previously he had resided in Laflin. Prior to his retirement, he was a former co-owner of My Brother's Place, in Wilkes-Barre and Scranton. He was an active member of St. Maria Goretti Church, Laflin. Family was the most important thing in his life. He enjoyed traveling and his trips to Long Beach Island, N.J. He was also an avid golfer. Preceding him in death were his brothers, Anthony and Steven. Surviving are his wife of 48 years, the former Yolanda Sartorio; daughter, JoAnna Patterson and her husband, Robert, Kingston; son, Daniel Jr. and his wife, Heidi, Wilkes-Barre Township; brothers, Thomas, Forty Fort; Francis, Forty Fort; Robert, Kingston; and Carlo, Kingston; two grandchildren, Jacob and Jordan; many nieces and nephews. The funeral will be held at 9:20 a.m. Monday from Hugh B. Hughes & Son Inc. Funeral Home, 1044 Wyoming Ave., Forty Fort, with the Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Maria Goretti Church, Laflin. The interment will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Kingston Township. Rudawski, Mary T. - Newport Township  
Mary T. Rudawski, 82, of Newport Township passed away Friday, May 1, 2015, at home. Born Jan. 8, 1933 in Nanticoke, she was the daughter of the late Paul and Catherine Krzak Radziak. She was employed for many years by Acme Markets. Mary was an active member of St. Mary of Czestochowa Church of St. Faustina's Parish. Her children have said she was the best mother and Babci to her grandchildren, and loved playing pokeno with her brothers and sisters. She was preceded in death by her husbands, John Skorka and Michael Rudawski, brother, Paul Radziak II. Surviving are daughters, Sandra Repak and Jackie (Tootsie) Alesczyk; son, Stephen Rudawski and his wife, Lisa; grandchildren, Stephen Jr. and Lauren; sisters, Helen Wozniak and Tozia Guffrovich; nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at noon Monday from Stanley S. Stegura Funeral Home Inc., 614 S. Hanover St., Nanticoke, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 12:30 p.m. in the main site of St. Faustina's Parish, 520 S. Hanover St., Nanticoke.
