Gryczka, Hedwig (Edna) - Kingston  
Hedwig (Edna) Gryczka, 91, of Kingston died peacefully Thursday, Jan. 22, 2015, at her home. She was born in Plymouth, daughter of the late Julius and Vincenta Rydzewski Gryczka. Edna was a graduate of Plymouth High School and worked for many years at the Blue Ribbon Bakery in Kingston. She was a member of All Saints Parish, Plymouth. She will be remembered as an outgoing person who talked to everyone. Over the years, whenever anyone needed a ride to a doctor's appointment or to church, Edna would always be there. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Mary Wilkes and Bertha Kuzminski, and brother, Al Gryczka. Edna is survived by her nieces, Geri Tellie, Kingston; and Pat Blazejewski, Wilkes-Barre; nephews, Al Gryczka, Sarasota, Fla.; and Joe Kuzminski, Gaithersburg, Md.; great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews. A memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday in All Saints Parish, Willow Street, Plymouth, at a time to be announced. Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Plymouth Township.

Gurchak, Edward J. - Exeter  
Edward J. Gurchak, 81, of Exeter passed away Saturday evening, Jan. 24, 2015, in Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center, Plains Township. Born in Jenkins Township, he was a son of the late Joseph and Sophie Kovalchik Gurchak. He was educated in the Jenkins Township schools. He was a U.S. Army veteran, serving during the Korean War. He was employed by Medico Industries. He was preceded in death by his stepchildren, Tony Thomas and Joann Thomas-Sanchez; sisters, Mary Weist, Mildred Gurchak, Anna Manganaro, Victoria Swity and Celia Kuncio; and brothers, Joseph Gurchak and John Gurchak. He is survived by his wife, Florence Przywitowski Gurchak; stepson, DJ Thomas; granddaughters, KimMarie Lucas, Sherry Grecco, Tracy Thomas and Anthony Thomas; great-grandchildren, Kylie Lucas and Samantha Lucas; goddaughters, Donna Drank, Sandra Lavis and Joan Ranee Griglock; brother, Albert Gurchak; and sisters, Sophie Johns and Joan Marino. Funeral services will be held at Michael J. Mikelski Funeral Home PC, 293 S. River St., Plains Township, with a visitation from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. Friday. A Blessing service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Interment with military honors will be at Chapel Lawn Memorial Park, Dallas.
