Anne Davis, 84, of Mountain Top passed away Wednesday, April 23, 2014, at her home.
She was born in Wilkes-Barre on July 1, 1929, a daughter of the late Wasil and Anna Petrock Slawich. She was a 1947 graduate of Coughlin High School and a graduate of the Wyoming Homeopathic Hospital School of Nursing, Class of 1950.
She was employed as a registered nurse in Delaware and Maryland and retired after serving as a registered nurse at the White Haven State Center.
Anne was an active member of St. Vladimir's Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church, Edwardsville.
She was preceded in death by her brothers, John and Michael Slawich, and by her sisters, Mary Boris and Rose Chorney.
Anne is survived by her sister, Helen Szish, Whiting, N.J.; niece, Lisa Schultz and her husband, Gene, and their son, Noah, who were her caregivers; nieces, Susan Bonick and her husband, Joseph, Plains Township; and Joan Slawich, Laflin; along with many other nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Saturday from Nat & Gawlas Funeral Home, 89 Park Ave., Wilkes-Barre, with Divine Liturgy to follow at 10:15 a.m. in St. Vladimir's Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church, 70 Zerby Ave., Edwardsville.
Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Hanover Township.
Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
