Barbara A. Cresci

Barbara A. Cresci, 65, loving wife and mother, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family Thursday morning, Dec. 6, 2012, at Commonwealth Hospice at St. Luke's Villa, Wilkes-Barre, following a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.

She was a daughter of the late Henry and Bernice Hiller.

She was a graduate of Nanticoke High School and worked for 25 years in the banking industry. Barbara recently retired from Martz Trailways after 16 years of employment.

One of her greatest joys was watching her son, Christopher, participate in sporting events, especially basketball, from grade school through college. She also enjoyed watching the New York Yankees and Notre Dame football with her husband, Tom.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her stepmother, Eleanor Hiller; sister, Bernadette Jablonski; stepson, Daniel Cresci; and father-in-law and mother-in-law, Americo and Inez Cresci.

In addition to her loving husband, Tom, Barbara is survived by her son, Christopher; stepdaughter, Ursula Cresci and her companion, James Coffee; daughter-in-law, Danielle Cresci; brother-in-law, John Jablonski; and nephews, Mathew and Keith Jablonski.

There will be no public calling hours. Private funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in Italian Independent Cemetery, Glen Lyon.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Mayo Funeral Home Inc., Shickshinny.
