Bernice Kichilinsky, 86, of Wyoming passed away Thursday, Oct. 31, 2013, at home.
Born Oct. 1, 1927, in Pittston, she was the daughter of the late John and Frances Matusavage Zikosky. She was a graduate of Pittston High School.
Prior to her retirement, she was employed by Albert B. Melone Co., Pittston.
Bernice was a member of St. Cecilia's Church of St. Barbara's Parish, Exeter. She was a member of the Altar and Rosary Society and church choir.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph, in March 2012. Also preceding her in death were her sisters, Helen Wasileff, Ann Ochs and Marian Waymire; and brothers, Walter Zikosky and Joseph Ziskoski.
Surviving are her son, Joseph Kichilinsky, Wyoming; sisters, Frances Cappellini, New Jersey; Betty Miller and her husband, Larry, Kingston; and Dorothy Worth, Hatfield; brothers, John Zikosky and his wife, Anna May, Exeter; and Robert Zikosky and his wife, Mary, Pittston; sisters-in-law, Susan Ziskoski, Falls; Marion Zikosky, Arizona; and Gertrude Kichilinsky, Wyoming; brother-in-law, Eugene Waymire, Swoyersville; numerous nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. Monday in St. Cecilia's Church of St. Barbara's Parish, with Monsignor John J. Sempa officiating. Those attending the funeral are asked to go directly to church on Monday morning. Private interment will be held in St. Cecilia's Cemetery, Exeter. There are no calling hours.
