Bryce B. Smith, 66, of Dallas passed away Monday, Jan. 20, 2014, at his residence after a lengthy illness.
Born in Emporia, Kan., he was the son of the former Betty Casebier and the late Richard Smith.
Bryce was a graduate of Lake-Lehman High School, Class of 1965, and attended Florida State University.
He was employed by Procter & Gamble for 27 years. He was president of Single Source Systems Inc. until his retirement in 2009.
Preceding Bryce in death were his father, Richard, and a grandson, Kyle, with whom he spent 27 years as a devoted caregiver until Kyle passed away in June 2013.
Surviving are his wife of 46 years, the former Shirley Bryant, at home; daughter, Allison Taylor, and son, Eric B. Smith; and grandson, Bryce Taylor, all of Dallas. He adored his grandsons, and was a wonderful husband and father.
Bryce won many awards for cars and motorcycles he restored. He was also an accomplished musician and friend to anyone who needed help.

The funeral service will be held privately and at the convenience of the family.
