Caroline Bugay, 85, a resident of Wilkes-Barre Township, passed away Sunday morning, Nov. 3, 2013, at Little Flower Manor, Wilkes-Barre, where she had been residing.
Caroline was born in Wilkes-Barre, on Oct. 31, 1928, a daughter to the late Joseph and Victoria Swartz Yermal. She was a graduate of the former Wilkes-Barre Township High School, Class of 1946. She had been employed in the local shoe and garment industries for many years. She was a member of the International Ladies' Garment Workers Union.
Caroline was a member of the former St. Joseph's Monastery Church, Wilkes-Barre Township.
She has been preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Bugay, in 1981; and by a sister, Marcella Yermal, in 2012.
Surviving are her daughters, Romaine Solski and her husband, Tom, Jim Thorpe; Debra Bugay, Wilkes-Barre Township; grandchildren, Ryan and his wife, Stephanie Solski, Lehighton; Laureen Solski, Lancaster; great-grandchildren, Noah and Ava Solski.
Funeral services will be held at 9 a.m. Wednesday with a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated in the Chapel of Little Flower Manor, 200 S. Meade St., Wilkes-Barre, with the Rev. Richard Ghezzi officiating. Interment will be in Holy Trinity Cemetery, Bear Creek.
Friends may call from 8 a.m. until time of the Mass Wednesday at Little Flower Manor Chapel.
