Caroline R. Sanborn

Caroline R. Sanborn, 83, of Bethlehem died Thursday, Feb. 27, 2014, at her daughter's home in Bethlehem.

Born in Luzerne, she was the daughter of the late James and Susan Oney Wickham.

Caroline had resided in Bethlehem for more than 50 years. She had formerly been employed by St. Luke's Hospital in Bethlehem in the maintenance department for many years. A member of the Central Assembly of God Church in Bethlehem, she also sang in the choir. She was a volunteer at The Salvation Army. She was also active in the building where she lived.

Preceding her in death were her brother, Olen S. Wickham, and a sister, Helen Poplasky.

Surviving are her daughter, Rosemarie Rivera, Bethlehem; four grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren; sister, Norma Small, Swoyersville; brother, Asa J. Wickham, Martinsburg, Va.; nieces and nephews.

The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday from Hugh B. Hughes & Son Inc. Funeral Home, 1044 Wyoming Ave., Forty Fort, with the Rev. Cole McClenithan officiating.

The interment will be in Mossville Cemetery, Benton.

Friends may call from 10 a.m. until service time on Saturday.
