Cecelia R. Knappman

Cecelia R. Knappman, 87, died Tuesday, Sept. 17, 2013, at the home of her daughter in Wilkes-Barre.

Born in Kingston, she was the daughter of the late Anthony and Constance Kairnite Stalakojis.

During World War II, Cecelia was employed in Newark, N.J., in an ammunition plant and later was a secretary of her husband's business, Knappman Brothers Coal, Oil and Service Station.

Preceding her in death were her husband, Carl F. Knappman; sisters and brothers.

Surviving are her daughters, Carol A. Gates, Linda J. Urban and Rene M. Madden; son, Kelly S. Knappman; foster child, Angie Mislivets; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter.

A Celebration of Life Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday in St. Andre Bessette Parish at the Holy Saviour worship site.

Arrangements are by Yeosock Funeral Home.
