Charlotte Marie Hunter

Charlotte Marie Hunter, 68, a resident of Stillwater, passed away Sunday, Feb. 17, 2013, in Geisinger Hospital, Danville.

She was born Feb. 9, 1945, in Auburn, a daughter of the late Almon and Olive Dymond Harvey.

Surviving are her sons, Orville Hunter and Carol Knorr, Stillwater; Joseph Hunter, Stillwater; William Hunter and fiancee, Tammy Gunther, Stillwater; Derick Hunter and Maria Higgins, Shickshinny; daughters, Patricia Sims and James Milbrodt, Stillwater; Charlotte Davenport and husband, Warren, Stillwater; eight grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; brothers, James Harvey, Brookville; Albert Harvey, Harveys Lake; Ralph Harvey, Meshoppen; Sam Harvey, Shavertown; and sisters, Fay Oakes, Meshoppen; Betty Lou Vaow, Meshoppen; Sharon Harvey, Tunkhannock; Anna Wandell, Durham, N.Y.; Donna Shoemaker, Montrose; Judy Harvey, Noxen.

Preceding her in death were her husband, Orville W. Hunter Sr., in April 1998; brothers, Earl, William, Harry and Donald; sisters, Joan Harvey, Connie Sherwood, Shirley Hallock and Alberta Belcher; grandson, Warren Davenport Jr.; and great-grandchild, Zackery Bogert.

Charlotte enjoyed her grandchildren and the family said she was a jokester.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday from Clarke Piatt Funeral Home Inc., 6 Sunset Lake Road, Hunlock Creek, with the Rev. Terry Hughes officiating. Visitation for family and friends will be at the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday. Interment will be in Bethel Hill Cemetery, Sweet Valley.
