Cheryl L. Homschek

Cheryl L. Homschek, 53, died unexpectedly at home Wednesday, Sept. 25, 2013, after a courageous battle with cancer.

Born Nov. 16, 1959, in Pittston, she was the daughter of Rita Redmond Hensley and the late Russell Hensley. She was a 1977 graduate of Pittston Area High School.

She was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Hughestown.

Cheryl was employed by Bank of America as a manager in the call center in Moosic.

Cheryl will always be remembered for her generosity and thoughtfulness to all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her father, Russell Hensley; grandparents, Clarence and Henrietta Hensley and Harry and Leona Redmond; and brother-in-law, Buddy Cramer.

She is survived by her loving and devoted husband, George; mother, Rita Hensley, Hughestown; her beloved Collie, Pal; sister, Rita Pahl and her husband, David, Pittston; brother, Dr. Thomas Hensley and his wife, Deborah, Maryland; sister, Debbie Cramer, Old Forge; sister-in-law, Rita Wall and her husband, Tom, Harding; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

A memorial service will be held at 8 p.m. Monday at Howell-Lussi Funeral Home, 509 Wyoming Ave., West Pittston. The Rev. Robert Sauers and the Rev. Dr. Denise Brown will officiate.

Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home from 4 p.m. until service time at 8 p.m. Monday.

Interment will be held at the convenience of the family.
