Dolores Kane, 79, of Wilkes-Barre passed away Sunday, Feb. 9, 2014, in Wilkes-Barre General Hospital.
She was born in Wilkes-Barre on Sept. 23, 1934, a daughter of the late John and Catherine Jayma Kotch.
Dolores was a graduate of Coughlin High School.
Prior to her retirement, she had been employed as a sales clerk by Boscov's in Wilkes-Barre.
Dolores was a member of Our Lady of Hope Parish in Wilkes-Barre.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert J. Kane, in 1999; by her sisters, Mary Wychock and Catherine Humphreys; and by her brother, Jake Kotch.
Dolores is survived by her children, Suzan Hohal and her husband, Frank, Wilkes-Barre; Robert Kane Jr.; Dolores Kane, Wilkes-Barre; and Joseph Kane, Wilkes-Barre; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; brother, John Kotch, Johnstown; sister, Audrey Evanchick, Towanda; nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday in Our Lady of Hope Parish, 40 Park Ave., Wilkes-Barre. Family and friends wishing to attend the Mass are asked to go directly to the church on Wednesday.
Interment will be private in St. Mary's Cemetery, Hanover Township.
There will be no public calling hours.
