Dorothy Orth Lawall, 68, a longtime resident of Wilkes-Barre, died Monday, Dec. 10, 2012.
Born Dec. 20, 1943, in Pittston, she was a daughter of the late Louis and Alice Hennigan Orth.
Dorothy was a graduate of Pittston High School and dedicated most of her life to caring for her family.
Her husband of 32 years, Edward R. Lawall, died Feb. 6, 2002. Sisters, Mary Alice Redington and Carol Reedy, and a brother, Louis Orth, also preceded her in death.
She will be greatly missed by her children, Kevin and his wife, Kimberly Lawall, West Wyoming; and Mary Alyce and her husband, Steven Langdon, Wilkes-Barre; grandsons, Steven and Edward Joseph (EJ) Langdon and Hunter Thomas Lawall; sisters, Margaret Duda, Plymouth; Elizabeth Klush, Pittston; Sally Colarusso, Pittston; and Denise Orth, Pittston; brother, Robert Orth, Avoca; nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A celebration of Dorothy's life will be held at 8:30 a.m. Friday at McLaughlin's − The Family Funeral Service, 142 S. Washington St., Wilkes-Barre, with a Funeral Mass at 9:30 a.m. in the Church of St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception. Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Hanover Township.
