Eleanor (Grace) Karlotski of Luzerne died peacefully on Friday, Feb. 8, 2013, at Geisinger South Hospice surrounded by her family.
Born March 2, 1927 in Luzerne, she was the daughter of Margaret Stile. Eleanor attended Sacred Heart School, Luzerne High School and College Misericordia. Prior to her retirement, she was employed by the Hollywood Store in Wilkes-Barre, Globe Store in Luzerne as a bookkeeper and later worked at Leeds Store in Edwardsville.
She was preceded in death by her husband William Karlotski, in 1996; and son-in-law, John W. Wallowak, in 2009.
She is survived by her children, Jessica Nash, Luzerne; Maggie Wallowak, Kingston; Bill Karlotski and wife, Denise, Hunlock Creek; Joyce Doyne and husband, Tom, Luzerne; Dawn Seidel, Kingston; Jamie Karlotski, Mountain Top; Ellen Karlotski and grandson, Nick (aka) Charlie Brown, with whom she lived with in Luzerne. She had 12 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
A private viewing will be held for family and extended family of Eleanor on Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Betz-Jastremski Funeral Home Inc., 568 Bennett St., Luzerne, with a prayer service at 8 p.m.
