Florence (Cookie) M. Egroff, 67, of Plains Township entered into eternal life on Sunday, Nov. 3, 2013, in Wilkes-Barre General Hospital. Her husband of 47 years is Clarence Egroff.
Cookie was born May 1, 1936, in Wilkes-Barre. She was the daughter of the late Zigmund Yablonski and Anna Niedjaco Yablonski.
She was a wonderful homemaker. She enjoyed cooking, baking and giving, and also her lottery tickets. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother, who would be loved and missed by everyone.
She was preceded in death by her niece, Barbara Warnagris; her nephew, Bernard Yablonski; her sisters, Judith Gavlick and Anna Yablonski; her brothers, Walter and Bernard Yablonski; with several other family members.
In addition to her husband, Clarence, she is survived by her children, Kevin Egroff and wife, Kimberly, and Pamela Smith and husband, Gary; brother, Zigmund Yablonski; sisters, Irene Santewan, Patricia Pechal and Dolores Gashi; and her grandchildren, Kevin and Kyle Egroff, Kristopher and Marissa Linko.
Funeral services will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday at Simon S. Russin Funeral Home, 136 Maffett St., Plains Township, with a Blessing service by the Rev. Joseph Greskiewicz, officiating.
Interment will be private.
Family and friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday.
