Francis J. Nallon

Francis J. Nallon, 85, of Larksville passed away Thursday, July 18, 2013, in Wilkes-Barre General Hospital.

He was born May 28, 1928, in Plymouth, a son of the late Francis and Catherine Sherman Nallon.

He attended GAR Memorial High School and was a veteran of the 109th Field Artillery.

Prior to his retirement, he was employed by Community Buick and Kingston Dodge.

Mr. Nallon was a life member of the Church of St. Ignatius Loyola, Kingston.

In his younger years, he enjoyed roller skating.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Mary, and sister, Dorothy.

Surviving are his wife, the former Rosemary Benson, with whom he celebrated their 63rd wedding anniversary on July 16, 2013; children, Francis Nallon and his wife, Karen; Karen Schooley and her husband, Doug; David Nallon and his wife, Margaret; and Donald Nallon; grandchildren, Gretchen Lloyd, Jennifer Schooley, Thomas Nallon, Kristen Masiello and Patrick Schooley; great-grandchildren, Madeline and Arianna Rose; brother, Donald Nallon; and niece, Donna.

The funeral will be held at 9 a.m. Monday from Maher-Collins Funeral Home, 360 N. Maple Ave., Kingston, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. in the Church of St. Ignatius Loyola. Interment will be in the parish cemetery, Pringle. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday.
