Gladys L. Noss, 91, formerly of Glen Lyon and who spent part of her later years with her son on their farm in the country setting of Red Rock, passed away Jan. 30, 2014.
She was born in Kinta, Okla., on Jan. 23, 1923. She was the daughter of the late Clyde and Susie Webber.
She was employed in the garment industry until her retirement. She was a member of Holy Spirit Parish/St. Adalbert's Church, Glen Lyon, and a former member of its Altar & Rosary Society.
She was a member of American Legion Auxiliary Post 539, Glen Lyon. She enjoyed spending her time with her family and friends and loved going on her trips to Atlantic City, N.J.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Alfred R. Noss; sisters, Irene Earls, June Webber, Georgia Connors and Virginia Nicholson; brothers, Raymond Wilson and Buster Webber.
She is survived by her sons, Robert Noss and and his companion, Angela Angeli; Paul Noss and his wife, Mary Ellen; two grandchildren, Jennifer and Michael; great-granddaughter, Madeline; several nieces and nephews; dear friend and classmate, Delma Carter; and special friend and caregiver, Janie Jenceleski.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday from the George A. Strish Inc. Funeral Home, 211 W. Main St., Glen Lyon. A Mass of Christian Burial is at 11 a.m. in Holy Spirit Parish/St. Adalbert's Church. Interment will follow in St. Adalbert's Cemetery, Glen Lyon. Family and friends may call Monday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m.
