Glenn S. Ashton, 50, of Kingston passed away Tuesday, Jan. 14, 2014, at St. Luke's Villa, Wilkes-Barre, after a long and courageous battle with cancer.
Glenn was the son of the late William and Helen Ashton. He was a graduate of Wyoming Valley West High School, Class of 1981.
He was previously employed by Topps, Whiteman Tower and Redner's Warehouse Markets.
Surviving are his wife, the former Darlene Donlon, Kingston; son, Glenn M. Ashton and wife, Vanessa, Alabama; daughter, Amanda Harguess and husband, Michael, Utah; stepdaughter, Amie Byle and companion, Jon McLeod, Wilkes-Barre; six grandchildren; brothers, Perry Ashton and wife, Sharon; and Bradley Ashton and companion, Kathy Hagan; numerous nieces and nephews.
Glenn was looking forward to meeting his newest grandchild, due in March.
The Ashton family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at Harold C. Snowdon Home for Funerals Inc., 420 Wyoming Ave., Kingston.
The family wishes to thank the staff of Medical Oncology Associates for the great care they provided to Glenn over the years.
