Harriet A. Taylor, 94, passed away Thursday, Feb. 27, 2014, at Highland Manor Nursing and Convalescent Center, Exeter.
She was the daughter of the late Thomas and Harriet (Bonnard) Taylor. Born and raised in Exeter, she graduated from Exeter High School, Class of 1938, and was employed as a clerk by various pharmacies for more than 40 years.
Harriet was a faithful member of the Trinity Episcopal Church of West Pittston and its Women of Trinity. In her younger years, she enjoyed spending weekends at Lake Carey.
Preceding her in death were four brothers and two sisters.
She is survived by many nieces and nephews; great-nieces and great-nephews; and great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews.
She was a loving daughter, sister, aunt, and cousin. Always willing to help others, she had a smile for everyone.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to the staff at Highland Manor for their compassion and concern during Harriet's 11-year residence there.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Metcalfe-Shaver-Kopcza Funeral Home Inc., 504 Wyoming Ave., Wyoming, with the Rev. John Major of the Trinity Episcopal Church officiating.
Interment will be in Wyoming Cemetery.
Friends may call Wednesday from 10 a.m. until time of services.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Trinity Episcopal Church, 220 Montgomery Ave., West Pittston, or the Activity Fund at Highland Manor Nursing and Convalescent Center, 750 Schooley Ave., Exeter.
