James F. Rittenhouse Jr., 62, formerly of Dallas, passed away Monday, June 23, 2014, in Wilkes-Barre General Hospital.
Born in Wilkes-Barre, Jim was the son of the late James F. Sr. and Lois Kellar Rittenhouse. He was a graduate of Wyoming Valley West High School, Class of 1969.
Jim was the former owner of Common & Co. and later was the sales manager at Precision Homes.
He was an outdoorsman, loving to hunt, fish, golf and also enjoyed boating at Harveys Lake.
He was a member of George M. Dallas Masonic Lodge No. 531 F&AM and Irem Temple.
Surviving are his son, Jarrett Rittenhouse and wife, Noelle, Trucksville; daughter, Kerry Rittenhouse, Park Slope, Brooklyn, N.Y.; son, Jamie Rittenhouse, Larksville; daughter, Katlyn Dennis and husband, Mike, Atlanta, Ga.; son, Ryan Hathaway, Massachusetts; grandson, Tyler Rittenhouse; sister, Jill Tupper and husband, James, Harveys Lake; and nephew, Brian Tupper, Wilkes-Barre.
In accordance with Jim's wishes, a private memorial service will be held at a future date. There will be no calling hours.
