Jean P. Hager

Jean P. Hager, 71, formerly of Tunkhannock, passed away Wednesday morning, April 16, 2014, in the Hampton House, Hanover Township.

Born in Kingston on Aug. 10, 1942, she was a daughter of the late Eugene and Grace Taylor Troutman.

Prior to retiring, Jean was employed by Weis Markets.

She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 7069, Clarks Summit.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, John C. Hager, who passed away April 23, 2012; a son, Richard A. DeRemer; a brother, Terry Troutman; and a twin sister, Joyce Cohen.

Surviving are her daughters, Eileen Hager, Hanover Township; and Suzanne Floyd, Ashley; stepson, Joseph Hager, Montrose; stepdaughter, Kathleen Hager, New Jersey; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brother, Donald Troutman and his wife, Stasha, Sedona, Ariz.; and sister, Gale Regelski and her husband, Ronald, Hunlock Creek.

Services will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday at Kniffen O'Malley Funeral Home, 465 S. Main St., Wilkes-Barre, with Celebrant Rynell Guy officiating. Friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Make-A-Wish Foundation, 281 Pierce St., Kingston, PA 18704.
