Jeffrey C. Stahl

Jeffrey C. Stahl, 64, of Wilkes-Barre died Tuesday, Nov. 27, 2012, in Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center, Plains Township.

Born in Wilkes-Barre, Jeff was the son of the late Howard G. and Doris Bullock Stahl.

He was a graduate of E. L. Meyers High School, Class of 1967. While in school Jeff was a member of the swim and track teams, excelling in both sports. Before graduation he was a lifeguard at the Wilkes-Barre YMCA.

After graduation and eager to serve his country, Jeff enlisted in the U.S. Navy. He trained in San Diego, and served two tours of duty in Vietnam.

Jeff was a member of the American Legion and First Church of Christ, Wilkes-Barre, where in his youth he served as an usher.

Surviving are his sister, Linda Latch-Bottger and husband, James, Wilkes-Barre; niece, Melissa L. Langan and husband, Michael, Wilkes-Barre; two great-nieces, Emmalie A. and Eileen E. Langan; and three great-nephews, James H., Jude P. and Liam M. Langan, all of Wilkes-Barre.

Funeral services will be held at 7 p.m. Sunday from Harold C. Snowdon Home for Funerals Inc., 420 Wyoming Ave., Kingston. Elder Dan Conrad of First Church of Christ, Wilkes-Barre, will officiate.

Friends may call from 5 p.m. until the time of service Sunday at the funeral home.

Interment with full military honors will be made at 1 p.m. Monday in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the DAV (Disabled American Veterans), 516 Storrs St., Dickson City, PA 18519.
